Dr. Jain's Services & Treatments
Dr. Jain knows that patients need convenient and timely treatment for heart issues. Most new patients can be seen for their initial comprehensive consultation within 24 hours. He performs a wide variety of diagnostic tests right at the office, so that he can diagnose and discuss treatment options with patients at their first appointment. His office is centrally located and easily accessible by public transit.
PERCUTANEOUS CORONARY INTERVENTIONS
For patients with arterial blockages, chest pain, or suffering a heart attack, Dr. Jain can perform cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and/ or placement of stents. Using modern techniques, he restores blood flow across blocked arteries in victims of heart attacks quickly and safely, limiting damage to the heart and preserving healthy pumping function.
HYPERTENSION & HIGH CHOLESTEROL
Many patients come to Dr. Jain for help managing hypertension, dyslipidemia and high cholesterol. These conditions can be challenging to treat and manage, sometimes requiring 4 or 5 different medications. Dr. Jain works closely with his patients to ensure that their medication plan is working, even going so far as to have patients bring in their prescription bottles so he can cross-check their medications. He is a strong believer in preventative care, and counsels his patients in keeping their hearts healthy through good diet and regular exercise.
As a skilled clinician, Dr. Jain performs many diagnostic tests right in his office, even drawing patients’ blood samples himself. He uses a stress echocardiogram to accurately visualize the motion of the heart's walls and pumping action when the heart is stressed, sometimes revealing a lack of blood flow that isn't always apparent on other heart tests. The M Mode, 2D Echo and Doppler tests can non-invasively diagnose the size and pumping function of the heart, check valve integrity, and identify congenital heart defects. He tries to make the process of testing and diagnosis as convenient and stress-free as possible for his patients.
Where as arterial blockages cause immediate, severe chest pain, heart failure is a chronic condition - a more long-term deterioration where the heart fails to adequately pump oxygenated blood to the rest of the body. There are several interventions and surgical options for patients suffering from heart failure - and anything Dr. Jain doesn't perform himself, he can refer patients to skilled sub specialists for. Over his years in practice, Dr. Jain has built a network of excellent, skilled colleagues who can take care of his patients and help restore their quality of life.
